steve bruce is spot on
corner pieces are indeed sunderland Achilles hell
i was surprised at their win at bolton esp given their second half performance
n i would mark the 3 pts from blackburn as lucky as it could easily have been only 1 but still i will take nothing from the squad n what steve bruce is trying to domark my word-sunderland has made more changes in term of quality than city-i hope they break into europa(7th is a good target) this year
anyway i just heard cana is the new skipper

ahem, I think you mean Burnley, not Barnsley. That’s Sunderland’s next fixture of course.

i am in love with sunderland now(arsenal fan)
bruce is def one of the top manager in epl, infact i rate him as higly as m. o’niell
i am still surprised he managed turner signature despite intrest from spuds n poolsbent is a class goal poacher
n catermole is another class signing

I was at the Hull game and yes, whilst they are a weaker opposition, they played very well in the first half and tried to punish us for sitting back (which we always seem to do when we score?!). Whilst i’m not jumping for joy over beating them, i think the lads deserve a bit more credit than you’re giving them. Cattermole didn’t stop running for 90 mins and Bent was top class.

Outclassed Liverpool for sure on the pitch, not so much on this post.

Shockingly, I agree with Ed.

Yup, losing fans can take comfort in the fact that the Sunderland FC Offside blogger is not as classy as Ed.
Definitely not as classy as Jack “F*** Barcelona” the Chelsea Blogger, right?

Dynamite stuff.

I think you’re selling the team short. Steve Bruce is a good manager and you guys have a good squad–I think Sunderland is definitely a top half of the table team.

I don’t know what it was either, but B’ham just looked strong, especially up that left flank, and the in-swinger netted for goal, Sundie’s defenders were simply slow to the punch. Sure up that back line, Stevie.

Have to admit some of the world’s top goalkeepers are American.

Is Cat’s back for Black Cats? If both he and Bent are Back, I see this as an even fixture, or a Sunderland win.

Will do what I can to help. Live far from my beloved Sunderland and stick with them through thick and thin keep in touch

Topics to include:
*Darren Bent: Twitter Maniac
*WAGs
*Profiles of SAFC players, starting with Kenwyne Jones please (my favorite current player – I want to hear about his playing days with Joe Public FC in Trinidad)
*Generally player news, analysis of games, etc., as you’ve been doing
*Maybe some sort of piece on Mackem culture: how are the fans enjoying the new American owner? Are they still laughing at n-wcastle? Do they really think Sunderland can get a spot in the Europa league?I’ll post more as I think of them. I also live in the US (west coast, so I get to watch them at 7am, yeah!).

That’s two crucial penalty misses for Sunderland in the past three games. We should be in the Carling Cup quarterfinals now. Dunno if it would have mattered against Spurs last weekend but it would have made the score even, and as Bruce says Sunderland were playing very well at that point. The second goal killed the game, obviously.
Still, top half of the table.

Nice win for you guys. You outworked and outplayed us, and deserved the 3 points.
