Burnley might be this year’s Hull
By: Stephen | September 19th, 2009Folks, I know I made fun of their name by calling them Barnsley, but I want to retract everything I’ve said bad about them. We played very poorly against them losing 3-1, and yes they’ve beat Everton and Man United. Now call me when they beat Chelsea and Liverpool, then I’ll give more than half a damn.
Oh and how did we let David Nugent look like Darren Bent? David couldn’t score to save his life when he was at Pompey, but now? What the heck folks. Yes I know he’s on load at Burnley, but the level of play doesn’t change. Maybe Owen Coyle is better for younger players than Harry Redknapp.
From the Gaffer Steve Bruce
“Considering how good we were in the first half and possibly for the first hour, the last half-hour is disappointing,” Bruce said.
“We went to such heights and then such depths and we have to put that right. We’ve had a bad start in terms of giving a goal away – and a soft goal at that – but we looked a decent team in the first half.
“Second half, for whatever reason, we’ve not been able to put the full 90 minutes together and we’ll have to work on that and get better, that’s for sure.”
Well hopefully the lads can get it together and beat Wolverhampton next weekend.
