Are we Man U Lite?
By: Stephen | June 3rd, 2009So if you are looking at this, you’ll already know that Niall has signed a new Manager. Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s Wigan’s boos Steve (great name) Bruce. And here’s a wild shock, he played for Man U. Bruce will be joined by coaching staff Eric Black, Nigel Spink and ex-Sunderland striker Keith Bertschin.
Chairman Niall Quinn expressed his delight: “Steve will bring a professionalism and strength of character to this club that will really help to bring us forward to where we all want to be. He knows more than anyone what football means to people of this region and I’m confident that he will be able to instill into our players exactly what it means to play for this football club.”
Am I happy with this hire? HELL YA! I think getting in someone who has proven they can keep a team up in the EPL with little money is great! Of all the so called applicants out there, I wouldn’t have any problem with Bruce. And hey, he keeps the trend of ex-Man U people at the club. Niall played for Man Chitty, but keeps bringing in Man U people. Hmmm, divided loyalties I guess.
My only question is, when’s Olivier Kapo coming in? Kapo is a player who seems to follow Bruce to new teams.

Are you worried about the fact that he’s a giant Newcastle fan? Just interested really.
He’ll do a good job though, his track record is really good.

nope. He wouldn’t be the first in sports to be a fan of a rival of a team he’s working for.
