Beating Fulham is fun
By: Stephen | January 27th, 2009Ricky is a Saint now to me. We’re up to 11th! And the guys beat a team that in reality is better than us. That in and of it’s self is a great thing. Winning 1-0 is boring, yes, but it’s 3 points. Should you really care how the win was secured? Well, for bloggers, I shouldn’t go so fast. It’s better when there’s lots of scoring.
Oh by the way Kenwyne Jones had the only goal for the team in the second half. I’d take that, and I’m glad Harry Redknapp isn’t getting him either, (stupid, cheating gaffer).
So what did Ricky say after the match? From the team’s website:

“We’ve closed the gap on a few teams but there’s still a long way to go; I think it will need 40 points to stay up.”
“To get three points is really important for us and I’m not too concerned about how we played, the points are more important tonight.”
All good stuff from the gaffer, now they have a quick turnaround for the Derby. Crapcastle on the weekend.

Very happy for Kenwyne, to sign the new deal and score the winner in the same day.
Would LOVE for him to get a goal on Sunday too.
