Bow Down to Kenwyne!
By: Stephen | January 10th, 2009I know it’s not proper to bow down to anyone but God, but Kenwyne saved the match for us. 82 mins: Goal Middlesbrough 1 Sunderland 1 Healy goes down the right and crosses low, Jones is there to fire it past Turnbull and Sunderland’s fans go wild. There, we get the point to stay up past Boro! No relegation talk this week!

To be fair, the Black Cats looked horrible for the match, and what more could you expect? It’s apparently very, very cold in England right now (not that it’s any different here State-side). And I have yet to hear any player ever say that they can play well in those matches. I can’t imagine how the supporters felt in the stands during such a cold crappy match. It would have driven me nuts, and I’ve lived in the north all my life.
Anyway, I digress, there almost was a second goal created by Cisse, someone St. Niall has to make a permanent member of Sunderland. Repeat after me St. Niall, Cisse must be signed. However, Cisse, couldn’t get the ball past the Boro goalkeeper. Ah well, we got a point out of that game. At this part of the season, we don’t need to win every game, we just need point.
Man Of The Match
Kenwyne Jones.
So what about my prediction? Well I was off by 2 goals (I predicted 3-0). But I did figure a Kenwyne goal in the second half, so I’m partly right. Yeah, I know I’m grasping at straws here, but I’ll take anything when it comes to predictions. Maybe, I should stop doing those predictions, but then what would I do?
