CISSE IS GOD! WE WIN, STAY UP (I hope)

All you have to know, is that right before half time Cisse won the match for the Black Cats. 45 minutes in, he put a ball past Boaz Myhill, in a match that sounded more like a Euro game than a survival game.

Now, the question is, does St. Niall go all out and make sure Cisse is here no matter what next year? Maybe he can promise Cisse’s parent team Ricky Sbargia as their first team coach. That might swing the deal. It’s still obvious to me that Ricky isn’t a manager, he’s the best coach who’s filling the role of manager in any of the top leagues right now. I know it’s very shallow of me to make fun of the manager, but I don’t like him. Plus an ex-EPL player that I know, doesn’t like him either, and if that’s any sign of Ricky’s talent, then he needs to go.

Sunderland manager Ricky Sbragia:
“We came under a lot of pressure but both defences were difficult to breach.

“I don’t care if our goal was offside, we had a bit of luck but had a number of chances.

“It was a vital win for us and overall I think we deserved it.”

Hull manager Phil Brown:
“We deserved something from the game.

“I questioned the commitment of the players last week but we certainly turned up this week.

“When we play as we did in this match, I do not fear any team. We put in a shift and when we do that we always have a chance.

“They scored after 47 minutes or so just before half-time and that is disastrous timing from our point of view.”

Do I think the Black Cats are safe? Yes, two out of the next three matches are winnable (next week against WBA, and then against Bolton in two weeks). So possibly the Black Cats could get six points. I don’t think they’ll beat Everton, but I can be proved wrong.
