I hate losing. Not that this match effects me personally, but still, losing sucks. Well Liverscum beat our beloved Black Cats 2-0 at Anfield yesterday.

Liverpool: Reina, Mascherano, Skrtel, Carragher, Insua, Benayoun (El Zhar 90), Gerrard (Babel 82), Alonso, Riera, Kuyt, Ngog (Lucas 70).
Subs Not Used: Cavalieri, Dossena, Hyypia, Aurelio.

Booked: Ngog.

Goals: Ngog 52, Benayoun 65.

Sunderland: Fulop, Ben-Haim, Ferdinand, Collins, McCartney, Malbranque (Edwards 81), Whitehead, Reid, Leadbitter (Cisse 62), Richardson, Jones (Murphy 76).
Subs Not Used: Gordon, Bardsley, Davenport, Healy.

Booked: Whitehead.

Att: 41,587

Ref: Mark Halsey (Lancashire).

Should I have expected a win? Probably, because you don’t want to as a fan go into any match thinking that your team blows. But we aren’t Crapcastle fans, so we know we are good.

I’ll admit it was a tough fixture, but still I’m happy the Blackcats didn’t get completely beat. (like a 4-0 score line).

What did St. Ricky say? (from BBC Sport and Club website) : “Jones should have scored – and on any other day, he probably would have done so. ”

And he went further onto say: “We had to gamble by bringing on more strikers. But that gave them space – and once they scored the second, the game was going away from us.”
