Edwards back in time for NUFC?

By: Lucas | November 7th, 2007

carlosedwards01.jpgWith the biggest game of the season looming, some good news: winger Carlos Edwards, who has been desperately missed since tearing his hamstring nearly 3 months ago, may be fit for the Wear-Tyne Derby on Saturday.

Edwards, who along with fellow injured Black Cat Andy Cole, took part in the reserves 8-0 win over “plucky Wolviston” last night, says the hammy feels good. “I’m up for selection as far as I’m concerned and it’s up to the manager whether or not he wants to include me in the squad… I do need two or three games before I’m fully match-fit again… But I do feel I could contribute this weekend if needed and it is a game I would love to be involved in.”

Great news, Carlos!
