EPL Round 10: West Ham Utd FC vs Sunderland AFC
By: Lucas | October 21st, 2007“That’s the reality of the Premier League and you have to deal with it. This is probably the best we have played away from home but we have no points. I’m not here to welcome the plaudits, I’m here to win football matches.” – Roy Keane
Roy I cannot agree with you more. Sunderland easily played well enough today to earn at least a point; and for the first 30 minutes of the second half, they looked likely to earn all three.
But a freak own goal by Craig Gordon and a stoppage-time counterattack goal by dickface Bellamy, and Sunderland find themselves at the wrong end of a hugely disappointing defeat, 3-1 to the Hammers at Upton Park.
(I’ll have more to say about this game later, after I regain my composure and maybe have a bite to eat).
