EPL Round 14: Everton FC vs Sunderland AFC

By: Lucas | November 26th, 2007

…fucking hell.

I didn’t get a chance to see the game because I was flying home from Thanksgiving vacation. And from the reports, I’m glad I missed this one. Paul McShane and the rest of the defense are playing absolutely shit right now, and the goals just aren’t coming (nice to see the Dwight Yorke sighting, but it’s not much of a bright spot, considering).

But I am back in the land of reality now, after a week in Las Vegas and the Arizona desert. I had a great time, despite the fact that the trip began with me in an airport checking my cellphone for the score of the Scotland vs Italy game (rooting for Craig Gordon, natch), and ended with me similarly getting the Sunderland vs Everton score. I will now return to churning and chugging away at this blog in preparation for next weekend’s must-win match at the Stadium of Light vs Derby County. Sunderland now sit 18th place in the table and if they don’t get maximum points against the likes of Derby, their hopes of staying up will be very slim indeed.
