Hysen to Hie Himself Homeward
By: Lucas | July 26th, 2007Sunderland Swede Tobias Hysen misses his girlfriend, and wants to go home. Keano said today that he’d spoken with the winger, who was one of Niall Quinn’s first acquisitions as SAFC Chairman and scored 4 goals last season, and the youngster is just plain homesick.
So while the rest of the team goes to Portugal for a training camp, Toby stays in England and gets a goal and an assist in the reserve team’s 3-2 win over Berwick Rangers on Tuesday. The win also saw a full 90 minutes from Irish midfielder Graham Kavanagh, who spent much of last season on the shelf with injury.
The Black Cats’ pre-season adventure continues tomorrow with the U-18 squad welcoming neighbors Hartlepool United, and the 1st team beginning their Irish tour on Saturday at Bohemians FC.
