New Kit

Dean Whitehead shows off the sharp new 3rd/alternate kit the boys will be wearing this season. They’ll unveil it on the final day of their Irish tour later this month, against Galway United.
According to the team’s website, this is the first time three new strips will be introduced in the same year; normally they would use the previous season’s away kit as the alternate, but since there is a new sponsor (BoyleSports) and a new brand (Umbro), that was impossible.
SAFC’s director of marketing had this to say: “We are not suggesting that the third kit is a must-have for all supporters but…. The shirts will be on sale from Thursday 2nd August.”
I already have a SAFC home shirt (Diadora) and two away shirts (navy Nike and baby blue Lonsdale from last season), so I don’t really need another Sunderland shirt…but that is a very nice shade of blue.
