By: Stephen | December 18th, 2008While sitting at work yesterday I was happy that Niall Quinn reportedly passed over Sam Allardyce. Or could it be Blackburn was better?
Well either way, it shows that Quinny isn’t taking the quick easy fix. That’s smart, because I don’t want the Black Cats to go down at all. But please, no matter how well it worked the last time, don’t give it to another former player whose never managed before. I think we’re beyond that at this point. Is Martin Jol the next media darling for this job?
It would be good to see Johnny Evans come back here, preferably on something other than a loan. Hopefully, the relationship between us and Man U is so strong that we can offer them a structured package to get him in here full time! I hope that Quinny is thinking about this full time and working that amazing brain of his to get Evans back!
Can we put up four more goals on Saturday? I hope so, but Hull is a strong team. I do think they’ll come back down to earth eventually. Another great game by Kenwyne could provide another three points! Maybe if we play three amazing games Ricky will be named permanent manager?
With that being said I see us winning 1-0, on a Cisse goal in the second half.

I’ve actually come around and I agree that big sam is not the best choice available. But I’m definetly not a fan of bringing in some big foregin coach. I feel like we need someone like Harry Rednapp, an excellent man manager, who can effectively communicate to his team what he wants. Curbishley has gone up in my books and I wouldn’t mind someone like Chris Coleman. For what its worth, I thought his time at Fulham was highly underappreciated on the whole. He’s similar to Curbishley at West Ham in that way. Strachan for me is a no-no and if we did go foreign, I would look at Jol esp. he was excelelnt at tottenham, i still dont understand why he got the sack…
