Ricky named Manager and Everton Preview
By: Stephen | December 27th, 2008Well, well, leave it to the team to get me to blog almost every day this week. Yes, I love my Black Cats. They named Ricky Sbragia as permanent manager. To which I’m not totally shocked, but will back it.
From St. Niall on the official website:
“Ricky Sbragia is a thoroughly professional football person,” said Quinn. “We have been taken aback by how easily he has slotted into the managerial role and are really heartened by his intelligent approach in dealing with the players and the day-to-day rigours of the job.
“Ricky took up the reins when we were at a low ebb and has without doubt revitalised the club. He is the unanimous choice of the executive board and will receive every support in his new role.”
St. Niall has struck gold once with Roy Keane, and might have done it again. I’ve been impressed with the side that Ricky has put out there. While he might not be the next Jock Stein, he could be our next great.
Everton Preview
The Little team that could. I’m a huge fan of David Moyes. If there was anyone I wanted St. Niall to steal from another club it’s Moyes. He’s always done a lot at a lower tier team than most have. I doubt he’ll ever leave Everton, but I’d take him here.
What do I expect from the Black Cats? A win of course. But I’m that type of fan. Everton is a very strong side, (horrible team website by the way). They got off to a very un-Everton like start, so they aren’t in their normal position. Yes, they are capable of going 4 up on us, and probably iwould win. I just think that Sunderland is better than most think. Does that mean we are winning? Probably.
Seriously, they’ll have to sign Andy Gray back as an injury replacement. All of their strikers are out.
So ths could be a 0-0 match again. (But hey it’s a point)
Oh and those stupid Bar Codes? Lost 2-1 to Wigan hahahahahahahahahahha.
