Ricky Talking about Everton
By: Stephen | April 29th, 2009
Facing one of the worst times of the year for a slump, the Black Cats are facing a very, very good side, Everton. And it’s not a good time for us to have them come into town.

“It would be nice to think that Everton might have half an eye on the cup final, but knowing David, he won’t allow them to think that way and neither should we,” Sbragia said of his fellow Scot.
“He has done fantastically well there. Early doors, he was struggling down towards the bottom of the league, but he’s instilled a really good spirit at the club, invested well and they’ve got some world-class players.
“They play a system that works very well for them and I’m sure that the boost of getting back to Wembley will drive them on. When we played them in December, we struggled to contain them and I hope we’ve learned our lessons from that.
“They’ve got some great footballers; people like Louis Saha who has done it at the highest level and Phil Neville, who has been an inspiration for them. They’re backed up by people like Steven Pienaar, Leon Osman, Tim Cahill and Marouane Fellaini, so we know they’ve got a really good team.
“Obviously, we hope they have an off-day on Sunday and we know it’ll be difficult against them, but it’s a game we’re excited about and one we’re all really looking forward to. I can sense a determination amongst the players.”
I still think we’ll lose 1-0 (Saha will get the goal). Just as long as we stay up, I’m happy.
