Sunderland AFC and what promotion means.
By: Daryl | May 8th, 2007
Sunderland AFC, when many a lad’s think about Sunderland they usually think of the famous sextape or maybe not so famous. But anyone who doesn’t knows Sunderland think of the club as an often boring club that plays boring football. Not kidding, many people even question if Sunderland should be in the Premiership due to their recent performances in the top flight.
But if anything that people have to say about Sunderland its Roy Keane the “war dog” one of the most influential players on the pitch and off and why all because of a mean mean glare. Promotion means a great deal to clubs, but even more so for Sunderland because not only is Sunderland a massive club but they have a stadium that matches that of top flight clubs, Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool, etc.. and the fan base is large. This brings hope into the eyes of many fans seeing as this is the perfect conception to cement and stay in top flight for years to come, and actually make this club what it is, a Top Flight football club. Expect to hear Sunderland Sunderland Sunderland and Roy Keane alot with a little bit of Dwight Yorke baby mama drama thrown in there in the weeks to come. This is my first post and as im still trying to figure out the set-up of the program I will keep this updated as much as possible.

Here’s hoping the Black Cats stay up this time!

I’m pretty excited to see how Keane fares in the Premiership. The Man Utd-Sunderland games should be classic for managerial reasons.

Welcome to the Offside
I have a soft spot for promoted teams because I love it when they make a stand against the bigger clubs (Reading was one of my favorites this year). And with Keane as their manager, I imagine that will be the case with Sunderland as well.
