Match report to follow
So I was thinking of just doing a match report after, but of course Danny Collins had to get a goal in, in the first 10 minutes to put us up 1-0.
Oh and why does the BBC have to bring up Gareth Barry’s unhappiness every time they talk about the Villians? We don’t care, he’s good, but not great. He’s no Steed.

The fact we are going into break at 1-0 over a top 4 team, is very impressive. I still have my reservations about the game, but hey this is good. Real, good. Unless the refs take the game away from us.
2nd Half
Of course, as soon as I came back to this, Howard Webb, the twat, gave Aston Villa a goal. I’m sorry, I didn’t think Diego Maradona’ing it was allowed.
Ugh. I’m not British, but that video pisses me off. Webb, just had to put himself in the match. I respect refs who do their job, but when they put themselves in the match, that’s when they need to go away. Mike Dean, the head ref is also horrible.
From the Club website:
59 mins: Sunderland 1 Aston Villa 1 Chimbonda loses possession and Villa break. Ashely Young goes flying down the right and crosses, Milner is on the ground when he heads it in. Sunderland appeal for handball by the Villa man, there is controversy at the Stadium of Light.
80 mins: Goal Sunderland 1 Aston Villa 2 Barry fires the penalty into the top right corner.
80 mins: Mike Dean gives Villa a penalty after McShane’s foot is high on Agbonlahor after Friedel long kick. Replays show the challenge is outside the box.
Ugh, it ends 2-1, no points, and one goal given to Villa, this just makes me sick. I wonder who was paid off to give them the win.
