Transfer Tidbits and Rumors
By: Lucas | July 29th, 2007•Graham Kavanagh, who has not traveled with the team to either their training camp in Portugal, or the current Irish tour, looks to be on the way out of the Stadium of Light. With a well-stocked midfield, including new signings Etuhu and Richardson, in front of him, Keane is intimating that the Irishman may be sold.
•It appears that team’s pursuit of Hearts of Midlothian keeper Craig Gordon is done, after Hearts rejected Keane’s offer, believed to be between £8m and £9m. Said Che Keano: “That’s the end of it. I have got two very good goalkeepers, Marton Fulop and Darren Ward, so that’s it, as far as I’m concerned.”
•Sunderland have agreed to an economical fee (less than £1m) with Cork City for 21-year old striker Roy O’Donovan. Keane is hoping to seal the deal tomorrow night while SAFC are in town to play City in the second of three Irish pre-season friendlies.
