We have another signing! More than Man U!

Lyon defender John Mensah is the newest signing for the Black Cats! Steve Bruce once again proving the fact that he’s the man for the job, and with the money behind him, he can show how talented he truly is. A friend of mine who knows the sport (and has played in the EPL, is very impressed with our manager.
Lorik Cana, another one of the many new signings at the Stadium of Light had this to say about Mensah: ‘He is a player I know well. I’ve played against him a number of times in the past, and he is someone who has always impressed me when he has been on the other team. He is a very good player who plays in the best team in France, so that has to say something.
‘He did not play in all of Lyon’s matches last season, but I don’t think people should read too much into that. Lyon are like the Chelsea or the Manchester United of France, and very few players play every game at those clubs.
I like that all these signings are from clubs that are well known, and not some third division club, or from Hearts. While that’s not a slight on Hearts, players coming from Man U, and the French teams are just better than team from the SPL. Face the facts folks this management group knows what they are doing.

….you sound very optimistic. i commend you for that. if you wanna base your assessment of Mensah on what he did at his time with Stade Rennais, thats good, he did well there. But i will give you fair warning, if he is anything like he was with us ( Lyon ) i feel somewhat sorry for your club ( since they are doing their best and making good singings ).
To say im surprised he passed a medical to join your club is an understatement. Im astonished he didnt get hurt on the plane ride over their. The reason he didnt play many games for lyon was because he was injured – ALL THE TIME lol.
I pray this doesnt happen for you, i do, i really do.

Yeah i was about to say, Mensah was injured 3/4 of the season last season (not all one injury, like 25) and was awful when he played. Pray he does better for you!
